Who we are

Nistera provides network assurance software and services. This notice covers this website, nistera.net.

What we collect, and why

When you send the request form: your name, work email, organisation, the number of sites you chose and anything you write in the message. We use them only to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare your coverage report and a quote. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give with the tick box, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

When you visit: we count page views and which of our buttons are clicked, and note the website you came from (its name only). We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. To count each visitor once a day, we combine your network address and browser type with a random value that is thrown away every midnight; the address itself is never stored, and visits cannot be linked from one day to the next.

Who sees it

Only Nistera. We do not sell or share your details. The site runs on a server in Germany (Hetzner) and our records are kept on Nistera's own systems.

How long we keep it

Requests: until the enquiry is closed, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer. Visit counts: totals per day, kept for 35 days on the web server.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at any time: use the request form and say so in the message. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey (odpa.gg), or to your own data protection authority.
